AI can generate new ideas as well, but they are often repetitive or not as novel as those created by humans.
Another area where humans excel over AI is in social interactions. Humans have evolved over millions of years to be very good at reading social cues and understanding the emotions of others. Psychical Skills
There are certain skills that humans have that artificial intelligence (AI) can not replicate. One of these is our ability to read other people’s emotions. This is known as emotional intelligence (EI).
Humans are able to read other people’s emotions because we can empathize with them. We can understand how they are feeling because we have felt those emotions ourselves. AI can not do this because it does not have the same capacity for empathy that we do.
Another skill that humans have that AI does not is our ability to think creatively. We are able to come up with new ideas and solutions to problems because we can think outside the box. AI is designed to find solutions within a given set of parameters. It can not think outside of these parameters, which limits its ability to be creative.
Lastly, humans have what is known as “common sense”, which refers to the ability to make judgments about everyday situations based on our experience and knowledge. AI does not possess this common sense because it relies on data and rules rather than experience and intuition.
Technical Know-How
When about technical know-how, there is no doubt that humans have the advantage over artificial intelligence (AI). After all, we created AI in the first place! We understand how AI works and can therefore create systems that are much more efficient and effective than anything that AI could come up with on its own.
Humans also have a tremendous advantage when it comes to dealing with uncertainty. We are able to make deductions based on partial information and come up with creative solutions to problems that might stump an AI system. Our experience and intuition give us an edge when it comes to making decisions in difficult situations.
Of course, AI is getting better all the time and may eventually surpass human intelligence in some areas. But for now, when it comes to technical know-how, humans are still the masters.
